Children ages 3 to 6 are invited to participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd each week from September through May. This Montessori-based approach to religious formation meets the child where they are and introduces them to Jesus, the Mass, and the story of salvation. Mrs. Monica Stanley leads this experience with the help of several teens.
Children will learn more about their faith with a focus on prayer, parables, and the story of salvation. They will continue to experience the liturgical year and ways to live their faith.
Teens will engage in small group discussions and Bible studies, lead service projects, and participate in community-building activities. They can expect faith-filled discussions, fellowship, active participation, and lively experiences. Our junior high participants will focus on the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Our senior high school participants will focus on the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Service hours are available when they participate in applicable activities.
New in the 2022-2023 program year...regularly scheduled service projects! Many parishioners expressed their desire for more ways to help our local community. Led by our junior high and high school small groups, we will facilitate parish-wide service projects throughout the year that align with our Catholic values and benefit our local community.
